Commuter Rail

HMMH has extensive experience working with commuter railroads to assess and mitigate noise and vibration problems. In addition to our work with conventional diesel locomotive hauled commuter trains, HMMH also provides services related to newer commuter technologies. These include both FRA compliant and non-compliant Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) and Electric Multiple Units (EMUs).

Project Experience

  • Commuter Rail Noise and Vibration Analysis, Texas
  • Kowloon Southern Link Railway Extension, Hong Kong
  • Old Colony Railroad Restoration Project, Massachusetts
  • Railroad Capacity Improvements, Alaska
