A highly specific acoustic monitoring system was needed to clearly identify sources of measured sound levels within very quiet park environments.
The Strategy
HMMH designed and constructed a low noise monitoring system that permits detailed identification of sources while simultaneously collecting sound level data. The system, called LOWNOMS™ is designed for use by non-acousticians and field personnel. It is battery- powered, portable, and requires minimal training to operate.
The Solution
LOWNOMS™ has been used and tested successfully. Data reduction software automatically produces detailed reports.
