The Challenge
Evaluating the environmental impact of new construction at Leesburg Airport.
The Strategy
HMMH:
- Prepared an EA for the proposed construction and establishment of a Category I Instrument Landing System Glide Slope for the approach to Runway 17 along with related airport development actions
- Prepared the Air Quality section of the EA, which involved providing emission inventories for the base year, future no-action and future proposed action cases
These results were used to determine if the proposed actions of the EA would conform to the Virginia State Implementation Plan (SIP). The proposed actions were also evaluated for their impact on the on the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).
