Such spaces may include urban and natural-area parks, mixed-use developments, entertainment venues, and outdoor monuments and memorials. Our studies address these questions:

- Are the intended uses compatible with the existing soundscape?
- Will the project's built-in soundscape be appropriate for the facility?
