Carl E. Hanson
Dr. Hanson, one of the founders of HMMH, has been active on transit projects since 1972. He is the lead author of FTA's Transit Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment, both the original and the new guidance manual for methods used in rail projects. He has developed and taught many transit noise and vibration courses, including those sponsored by NTI, FTA, New York City Transit and HMMH, as well as twice per year rail and transit engineering courses at the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin. Lance D. Meister
Mr. Meister has worked on noise and vibration projects at most of the major transit properties in the United States and has extensive experience in all the rail modes and was the principal designer of the FRA's locomotive horn noise model, which is used to assess noise impact from horns at grade crossings.
Mr. Meister is also one of the coauthors of the revised FTA Transit Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment guidance manual. Herbert Singleton, Principal, Cross Spectrum Labs
Mr, Singleton, founder of Cross•Spectrum Labs, has more than 10 years of extensive real-world experience consulting for a variety of government, academic, and private clients. He has performed or supervised sound and vibration measurements across New England and throughout the country for projects involving transportation noise, construction noise, industrial noise, room acoustics, and loudspeaker performance. Mr. Singleton is experienced in presenting acoustic measurement results in the context of local and federal regulations, and applicable national/international standards as well as providing comprehensible descriptions intended for a lay audience.
